They look extremely cool anywhere, and of course, you can move the party to any room you like without having to call a removal van, a Cat 5 cable installer and the Health and Safety Executive. You can network any room in the house easily, and stream your MP3 tracks wirelessly from any available Bluetooth source, including:

• Mobiles • MP3 players

• PDAs

• PCs and laptops

So instead of huddling round a tiny personal device to show off your latest downloads, you can blast the whole room with your favourite tracks, and control the output from your Bluetooth device…. …”

World’s First Free ‘YouTube’ Type Mobile Service Launches Today!

“Moblr, the world’s first free mobile video sharing service, launches in the UK today.

The service enables users to upload video clips that have been filmed using a mobile phone to http://www.moblr.com where they can be shared with friends, family and the Moblr community.  Moblr means that users are no longer tied to their PCs to watch video – videos can be accessed and shared anywhere, anytime and for free from a mobile phone.

With video cameras as standard on most mobile phones (Nokia is now the number one camera manufacturer in the world), more and more people are capturing ‘You’ve Been Framed’ type clips on their phones. However, most find it too expensive to send them to their friends via MMS. With Moblr, users can simply upload the clip to the Moblr site from their 3G phone and Moblr will forward a SMS message to alert their friends and family that the clip is available to view. …

…How does it work?

Upload: A video shot using a mobile phone can easily be published on the Moblr site. Users can either upload the clip directly from their mobile phone or send the clip by MMS or email. The clip can be named and tagged before it goes public so others can search for content easily.

Viewing: All videos can be accessed for free from users’ mobile phones or PCs. Most recently uploaded videos are posted on Moblr’s home page and users can search all videos by category and tag.

Formats: Nearly all video formats are allowed. (There is a file size restriction as the videos are intended for mobile viewing.) Moblr automatically converts files into a format that is compatible with most mobile phones and PCs. This means that videos can be passed from one mobile phone to another and from a PC to a mobile phone without any problems.”

“Ericsson and the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) have launched a trial of personalized mobile TV advertising. The trial sees advertisers employ customized marketing with individual mobile TV viewers, with content provided by agency partner, Proximity Oslo, a part of the Global BBDO network.

The two-month trial is commencing in
Norway early this month and is open to the public. Volunteers will be able to access NRK’s two TV channels and five of its radio channels. A made-for-mobile 24/7 TV program based on the popular Norwegian TV show Pa traden (On the Line) will also be available during the trial. Customers can use their handsets to interact with the show’s host via voting and chatting, and can contribute content by uploading photos and video clips.

Advertisements will be interactive, customized to ensure their relevance to individual users, and tailored to the user’s age, gender, location and personal interests. Advertising content will also span an array of formats including videos, banners, ticker texts and branded downloadable content. The trial’s results may also form the foundation for the establishment of a mobile TV advertising business model…”
